Mountain Bike Camp
Ages 6-13

Our mountain bike camp is geared to giving campers the skills and practice to ride trails, especially single-track, safely and with confidence. Daily skills sessions lay the groundwork for solid riding, and daily trail rides give campers the chance to practise those skills while shredding the trails. Bike maintenance basics are part of the package. Campers participate in outdoor activities like archery, low ropes, bouldering, and games every day throughout their camp week.

Groups are originally set up based on age and skill level, with assessments done on the first morning of camp. With different campers every week, group age ranges may change (e.g., Dirt Monkeys may be 6-7 year olds one week and 7-9 year olds another week). Having campers placed in the appropriate groups helps to ensure that every camper has the most fun (and safety) possible, which is why assessments and group changes are done on the first day.

Campers should be very comfortable riding without training wheels and should be able to manage hills.

Proper Mountain Bike Examples & Improper Bike Examples

A proper mountain bike with hand brakes and knobby tires is required. Multiple gears* and suspension are HIGHLY recommended.

*It may be difficult to find a bike with gears for the youngest campers; in this case, a properly sized bike is more important than multiple gears.

Bikes are checked by counsellors at the start of the first day, and a tune-up is available at a discounted price for campers. Bike rentals are also available for the week.

$420/week
