Bike Camp

Your Place for Summer Fun and Lasting Friendships!

Established in 1998, Camp Hardwood is a multi-sport day camp with a focus on mountain biking for children between the ages of 6 and 13. Our goal is to offer developmentally appropriate programming for all age levels in a safe, fun, and supportive environment.

Campers take part in the mountain bike specialty camp will get the chance to ride some of Ontario's best, and most well maintained trails. With seven trail systems and over 80km of double track and single track every camper will be challenged to take their riding to the next level.

Camp Hardwood Open House

Still can't decide if Camp Hardwood is your place for summer fun? Check out the facilities and program options at this year's open house!

When: Wednesday June 11th, 2014 5:00pm – 7:30pm.

Where: Hardwood Ski and Bike. 402W Old Barrie Road, Oro Station.

What: Camp Hardwood Annual Open House. Come meet the camp staff and get a tour of the facilities. Registration will also be taking place during the open house. You can bring your bikes and try out a Wednesday night race. This event is geared towards riders of all ages and ability levels.

Camp Hardwood Details

Camp Hardwood Bike Camp provides exciting and informative mountain bike instruction in a Day Camp setting. Allow our qualified staff to lead your camper in exciting trail riding, bike maintenance, and skill development activities.  Entry into the Wednesday night race is included for all Bike Camp participants. Campers are invited to stay on Wednesday night after camp for a BBQ dinner with their parents who can purchas BBQ tickets. The Wednesday night race will begin at 7pm.

Camp Dates: June 30 - August 22, 2014

Please Note: Weeks 3 and 6 will be short, discounted weeks at $225 + HST.

Trail Adventures: Age 10-13   


Mountain Biking
Trail riding, skills and bike games are the main event at Camp Hardwood.

Pump Track

Our pump track is a closed circuit loop, with rollers in between and berms at each end. Kids will have fun riding the track without pedaling and they will learn to use their body to pump or push down into the dip after an elevation and pull up before the crest of a mound throughout the continuous loop.

Beach Volleyball
Bump, spike and dig on our Olympic standard beach volleyball court.

CH Amazing Race
Teams will use orienteering skills to find different stations on Hardwood's property, both on and off their bikes.

Arts and Crafts
Get creative while making a variety of exciting arts and crafts. Highlights include bike art (using recycled bike parts) and nature art.

Low Ropes
Test your agility and coordination on our low ropes elements that can challege you individually or as a group.

Disc Golf
Try your hand at one of Hardwood's newest editions, disc golf is a great way to enjoy the outdoors in a relaxing yet active way, campers can play to beat their best score or in pairs against other groups.

Beach Day
8:45am – 9:00am – Campers arrive
9:15am – Riding
10:30am – Morning snack break
10:45am – Riding
12:00pm – Lunch
1:00pm – group activity #1
2:15pm – Afternoon snack break
2:30pm – group activity #2
3:45pm – Clean up and pack up
4:00pm – Camper sign-out

Wednesday Night Race and Family Evening!
All campers registered in Bike Camp are invited to join us on Wednesday nights at 7pm for the Trek Wednesday Night race series. Race entry fees and BBQ dinner is included for campers. Families of all campers are invited to join in camp activities between 4pm and 5pm on Wednesday night. Our staff will be on hand to lead fun mountain bike activities.

Thursday is Water Fun and Special Lunch Day!

This is a chance for campers to get wet and have some fun with water.

Friday is Theme Day!
Dress up and show your spirit on theme day! Each week a new theme will be chosen and campers will participate in a variety of theme related games and activities.
